Kristen A. Algert, Attorney at Law

Practice Philosophy:

I became a lawyer to help people; the Collaborative Process allows me to assist individuals to maximize their options and outcomes while maintaining their dignity and self-respect. Since 2004, my practice has been limited only to Collaborative Family Law. The decision to practice only Collaborative Family Law was easy because the basic principles of the Collaborative Process are consistent with my personal values and beliefs.

Divorce is a difficult life transition for families who experience it, and I have a duty not to inflict more harm or damage on an already difficult situation. The Collaborative Process encourages respect, promotes efficiency, maximizes options and minimizes harm and is the best option available to most divorcing couples and their families.
