Practice Philosophy:
Divorce can be such a devastating transition for the life of a family as well as the individuals in that family. Collaborative family law offers a humane, respectful alternative to traditional divorce that best ensures a positive outcome for the families experiencing this transition. I am so gratified that this process exists, and that I can participate in it as a collaborative facilitator and communications coach.
As an allied professional on an interdisciplinary collaborative team, I assist divorcing couples through the process of divorce. Helping with the painful and difficult-to-manage emotions that inevitably arise, facilitating communication between all parties involved in the collaborative process, working with parents on the creation of parenting and possession plans that best serve the needs of the children, and mediating issues that arise during the process are some of the ways that I get involved. My hope is that I help divorcing couples lay the groundwork for a post-divorce relationship that best serves the needs of their family as it assumes a new form. |
